Pembroke Pines, Fla. Oct. 2026 – Aker Technology USA, a global manufacturer of innovative, competitively priced frequency control products, introduces the 312.5 MHz differential oscillators series, designed to provide ultra-low jitter and stable timing for high-speed networking, optical communications, AI data centers, and high-performance computing applications.
As network speeds advance from 400G and 800G toward 1.6T, DSPs, SerDes and PLLs require increasingly stable and low-jitter reference clocks. 312.5 MHz is becoming an important reference frequency in high-speed optical communication architectures. Aker’s new oscillator series combines ultra-low phase jitter, compact surface-mount packaging, and reliable frequency stability to support the increasingly demanding timing requirements of next-generation high-speed systems.
To accommodate different system architectures and board-level requirements, the new series includes the S1A and S2A series, available in 2.0 × 1.6 mm and 2.5 × 2.0 mm SMD packages, respectively with both LVDS and LVPECL output options. The S1A 2.0 × 1.6 mm LVPECL version achieves the 27 fs RMS typical phase-jitter performance, providing a compact timing solution for applications where signal integrity and board space are critical.
Aker’s 312.5 MHz differential oscillators series is designed to address key system-level timing requirements, including:
- Maintaining low-jitter clock performance in high-speed data paths
- Supporting differential signaling architectures used in networking and optical systems
- Providing compact packaging options for dense PCB layouts
- Delivering frequency stability across demanding operating conditions
- Enabling system-level clock control through Tri-State functionality
- Supporting environmental and regulatory requirements with RoHS-compliant, Pb-free construction
Other specifications of the series include ±20 ppm stability, -40°C to +105°C operating temperature and multiple supply voltage options.
Aker’s 312.5 MHz series provides engineers with the performance, package flexibility, and differential output options needed to integrate precise timing into next-generation networking, computing, and communications systems.
